[vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text] The Help America Vote Act (HAVA) gave everyone the right to vote privately and independently. Many people with disabilities are voting by themselves for the first time because of Voting Machines.
Nancy ward says “I think voting machines are very important for people with disabilities because it makes voting accessible to everyone, no matter what your disability. It is not just people with disabilities who can use these machines. They are for everyone. I encourage everyone to take the opportunity to exercise their right to vote using a voting machine.”
There are many different kinds of voting machines. Some states use only one type of voting machine and in other states every county uses a different kind of voting machine. Information about your states voting machines can be found on your State Election Division website.
