The purpose of the GoVoter Survey is to find out the experience that voters with disabilities had casting a ballot. Everything from getting information about candidates and issues, poll workers attitudes, and completing a ballot.

The report has taken research findings and put them into Plain Language so it is accessible to all voters. At the end of each chapter is a Plain Language Summary and Needed Action steps for readers to let others know what we learned. Other findings have been made into Fact Sheets.
Voters can use the action pages to tell election officials and voting coalitions to be accessible to all voter. This information can start discussions to make the experiences of voters with DD better.
Learn what the largest number of voters with DD told us about their Voting Experience for the 2020 Election. Voting accessibility is getting better.
- 6 of 10 voters chose to vote by Mail
- More voters used Mail-in or Absentee Voting because of their fear of getting COVID-19. Some voting rules did change because of COVID-19 fears. Many voters said they liked these changes.
- Voters of Color had more problems voting than White of Caucasian voters
